❖ Our Century-Old Traditional Delight: Turkish Delight According to research, the origins of Turkish delight date back to the 15th century. This unique sweet, which began gaining recognition in Anatolia, was called “rahat’ül lokum,” meaning “throat relaxer,” in the Ottoman Empire during the 1600s. Initially made with honey, flour, fruit syrups, and molasses, Turkish delight gradually evolved into its modern form with the addition of starch and refined sugar. By the 18th century, Turkish delight had become known throughout Europe, thus becoming a symbol of the Turkish people.

Our founder, Hüseyin Küçükaslan, entered the Turkish delight sector in 1994 through retail sales. Drawing on his experiences in retail and Turkish delight production, he established his own manufacturing facility under the Turko Baba brand in 1999. For over 25 years, we have continued producing Turkish delight with superior quality and unique flavors as Turko Baba. In addition to Turkey, we export our products to America, Asia, Europe, and other continents, bringing our flavors to the world.
